50 Years of Planet of the Apes with USC School of Cinematic Arts

The Planet of the Apes franchise has been around for 50 years! The original Planet of the Apes film was released in 1968. This is a retrospective of Planet of the Apes brought to you by the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Thanks to the University of Southern California for organizing this exhibit and retrospective to celebrate the 50 years of the Planet of the Apes Franchise. This all began with the 1968 film of Planet of the Apes, my favorite movie of all time starring Charlton Heston.

USC has put on an exhibit in the George Lucas building, comprised of props, costumes, photos, and merchandise related to the Planet of the Apes franchise. Some of these items were donations from Planet of the Apes fans who have collected them over the years.

It was amazing to see how far this world has come and continues to entertain audiences today. USC is located in downtown Los Angeles, CA. The exhibit is running through May.
