I slept in a jail cell... thanks to HI Canada for making the HI Ottawa Jail Hostel. This hostel used to be a jail from the 1800s until the 1970s when hosteling international took over. Here's my tour of the place mixed in while a little history of this jail in Ottawa, Canada.

I went on a road trip with HI Canada to check out some of their hostels in Canada. One of these hostels was the HI Ottawa Jail Hostel. This jail was established in the 1800s so there is a lot of history here. One of the employees gave us a tour of the place and taught us about the history of this jail in Ottawa, Canada. In the 1970s, the jail was purchased and turned into a dope hostel by Hosteling International. Staying here was quite the experience as the night I was there the lights were flickering and there was yelling by an unknown person. I would definitely recommend staying at HI Ottawa Jail Hostel and I would do it again! Maybe next time I will actually see a ghost...
